We want all students to thrive and have the best educational opportunities available to them.

Families seek out Calgary Quest Children’s Society for their decades of experience and specialized services that see students and young people soar. The demand for services is increasing, and so we are growing! The expansion of our programs into the community with the Sunalta Campus is an exciting first step.

There are a lot of changes in the works, and we know you may have questions. We will update this page as news is confirmed, so check back often!

Frequently Asked Questions:

Where is the new site?

Officially called the Sunalta Campus, it is located at 1817 10th Ave SW in the Sunalta Community

When is the move, and what are the plans/timelines?

Our anticipated move-in date is set for the last week of January 2024.

What are the hours at the new school?

The hours will be the same as the Spruce Cliff location. 8:45 am - 3:15 pm

Did you purchase the entire building?

Yes, we did. The entire 10,000 square feet on the second floor is being renovated for Calgary Quest Children’s Society. The main floor is leased by two tenants: National Spine and Wellness and TCR Sport Lab.

Who is moving to the Sunalta Campus?

Our High School students and CQR Young Adults will all be under one roof at Sunalta! Many of our high school students will continue on to our Young Adult program after they graduate. Housing these populations of learners together creates many opportunities and synergies. It allows our high school students to get to know their future peers and instructors, and gives our young adults the opportunity to be positive role models or mentors for the students.

Is there parking for drop-offs? will calgary transit Access be notified?

Yes, there will be a student drop-off/pick-up zone, and we are currently in conversations with Calgary Transit Access to organize transportation. More details to follow.

Will My child be connected to their former school and teachers?

Yes, students at both the Spruce Cliff and Sunalta locations will continue to come together for activities and assemblies throughout the school year. The students will also continue to have their classroom educational team (Teachers and Instructional Assistants) as they transition to the new site.

Will volunteering programs continue at Sunalta?

Yes! We hope there will additional volunteer opportunities and new community partners in the Sunalta neighborhood!
