About the Centre for Opportunity

At Quest’s Centre for Opportunity, we believe that every young adult has a unique journey toward independence.

Our program provides a structured, group-based learning environment where participants aged 18–28 develop life skills, engage with their community, and gain the confidence needed for greater independence.

Unlike traditional day programs that focus solely on recreation, we prioritize education, skill-building, and personal development. Using evidence-based practices, we tailor our approach to each participant’s strengths, interests, and aspirations, helping them navigate their transition into adulthood with confidence.

At the heart of the CFO is a commitment to equity, inclusion, and lifelong learning. We champion the rights of young adults with developmental disabilities, ensuring they have access to the support and opportunities they need to thrive. Because every young adult deserves the chance to reach their full potential.

Bridging the gap between school and adulthood by combining group learning with practical skill-building, the CFO uniquely prepares participants to navigate adulthood with confidence. Our program is built around three core pillars:

Personalized Pathways to Independence
Every participant follows a tailored plan that aligns with their strengths, interests, and goals while learning in a structured group setting. We set meaningful, achievable milestones through evidence-based practices to ensure steady progress.

🔹 Individualized Support Plans (ISPs) that integrate personal growth goals into group learning
🔹 Course-based learning in decision-making, community integration, and pre-employment skills
🔹 Ongoing progress tracking to celebrate milestones and refine strategies

Life Skills & Self-Discovery
From mastering daily routines to developing job readiness, we focus on practical skills that empower participants to live with greater independence and confidence.

🔹 Training in life skills such as daily living, safety awareness, self-advocacy and personal hygiene
🔹 Strategies for emotional regulation and stress management
🔹 Pre-employment skill development tailored to individual abilities and interests
🔹 Opportunities for self-expression and personal growth through engaging activities

A Supportive & Inclusive Community
We provide a welcoming environment where young adults build friendships, develop social confidence, and feel valued. Collaboration with families and professionals ensures well-rounded support.

🔹 Group learning to strengthen teamwork and social skills
🔹 Family involvement for a shared vision of success
🔹 As part of the Quest community we have access to a multidisciplinary team of experts
